On Christmas day, I start off by waking up at 6:00 AM. I then go downstairs with my brother, sister and my mum and we open our presents by the Christmas tree. After we have done this, we have about an hour to eat chocolate and take a look at our presents. Then, we go round my nanny’s house so we can give her presents and play some board games.

When we have Christmas dinner, my nanny usually cooks it. We have turkey, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, lots of vegetables and a big puddle of gravy. After we have eaten this, we all open our Christmas crackers.

At the end of the night, we all chat and play games. The adults drink wine and the children and teenagers have fizzy drinks like lemonade.

The Candy Dragon

Once upon a time there was a dragon who ate too much candy, but he didn’t think about brushing his teeth. One day he got a terrible toothache and he got very scared. He met a sheep called Lindy. She knitted a soft scarf out of her wool for him. She tied it around his head and told him to go to the dentist. The dentist pulled out the bad tooth and the dragon thanked the dentist. In the end, the dragon put his tooth on a necklace. He gave it as a gift to Lindy. Lindy thought this was a funny prank while she put the necklace in her left drawer.

When I am older I want to be a carer for the disabled and the elderly, and if that doesn’t work out, my back up plan will be working in a salon as a hairdresser. But I need GCSEs for the two jobs I would love to do, so at school I am doing hair and beauty and hopefully when I am 16 years old I will be able to do a course in health get care. That will help me get the jobs of my dreams.

Also, when I have a job and my own house I would like children and I want to married in a nice church. As for my children, I would love it if they have ginger hair as may hair is ginger.

Hi. My name is Cat and I’d like to tell you about my new hobby. I joined the Medieval Society at my university. As you can see, we learn to use medieval weapons and we basically fight each other. That’s me on the right, by the way. I’m fighting one of my friends. We also have arts and crafts sessions. The members of the society actually make all of the weapons and shields themselves. It’s only my second time so I haven’t learned that much yet, but it’s a lot of fun. The weapons and shields are made of wood, so it’s not that dangerous. In terms of weapons, we have swords, daggers, axes and clubs. The people that have more experience sometimes use metal weapons. We might get bows and arrows sometime so I hope I can try that as well. As you can see, it was a bit cloudy and rainy and very windy, but we run around a lot so it doesn’t get too cold. We also have rules so nobody gets hurt too badly. For example, you aren’t allowed to hit anyone in the face or head. Only hits to the chest back, and upper and lower legs count as a hit. You also can’t have two weapons or two shields. Every summer, the society performs at events, where they re-enact historic battles. A lot of people come to watch and it looks very exciting. Maybe I can take part in one someday.

A week ago I went to my friend’s for a sleepover. After the bath we ate loads of sweets and popcorn. We watched a movie and when my friend’s mum went to bed, we had a midnight feast. We had loads of fruit and after all the fruit we went to sleep. In the morning my friend went to ballet and when she was there, I played with her brother until she got back. When she came back, we got to play for an hour. Then my mum, dad and sister picked me up and took me shopping. After that we went for dinner.
